Amelia was in rescue care for 378 days. Being a bully breed, she was overlooked until the Petfinder Foundation pushed her to the forefront with a waived adoption fee. A wonderful family was able to see her potential and gave her a forever home. From Facebook on Jan. 31, 2019: “Meet Amelia! Amelia came into the shelter as a single mom caring for her two pups. We were able to save the family and bring them to Colorado, where the puppies almost immediately found loving homes. Amelia has really flourished in her foster home. She is housebroken, great on a leash and super affectionate. She can be choosy with her canine friends but has yet to meet a human she doesn’t adore!”

Cayde came to our rescue from New Mexico in late March of 2019. Because he was a pit-bull mix, we knew finding the right home for him would be challenging, but we had the Petfinder Foundation’s help. Sure enough, not long after his arrival, a wonderful young family stepped forward to give Cayde a chance. Here is what they say now: “Cayde is doing so amazing and we are so grateful for finding him through y’all. He and my son are non-stop on-the-go. Cayde loves the river and jumping into my son’s crib and sleeping with him. Forever grateful. Thank you!”
