For those 30 days, Animal Planet’s R.O.A.R. is matching donations to the Petfinder Foundation dollar-for-dollar (learn more about the campaign here). That means we can help groups like Lucky Day Animal Shelter save twice as many at-risk kittens and cats. Lucky Day President Gretchen Sommer tells us how our vaccination grant has made a difference:
“We have been able to help so many more by receiving these vaccinations. Right after we were awarded the grant we were able to save a mother cat and her five extremely malnourished babies, a single little kitty found on the side of the road and three newborn babies found all alone. This would not have been possible had we not received the grant.
“The money we saved by getting these vaccinations allowed us to take in these 10 urgent cats and get them fully vetted. Six have been spayed/neutered and the remaining four will be when they are of age. Four of these have already found their forever homes and are now going to go on to have happy, love-filled lives!
“We are so thrilled we were chosen to receive this grant and just want to thank you for the wonderful work you do!”
