Brew City Bully Club: Sponsor a Pet Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The money was used to help two rescues -- see below.

This grant was a gift from God. We're such a small organization and can't usually take on medical cases. I don't know where Chance would be if we hadn't had this grant. It allowed us to save him because we knew that we could afford his treatment! What a blessing!

And we would've found a way to have Handsome's tumor removed of course -- but we didn't have to stress out and throw together a fundraiser and beg people for fast cash, which was amazing! It was so nice not to have to focus on the money and to be able to just focus on the dog!

THANK YOU!

How many pets did this grant help?

Two

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

The money was used to help two rescues. One is Handsome Red (first two photos), who came out of a 2014 dogfighting bust in Milwaukee. We’ve been rehabbing him since July and found out just before receiving the grant that he had a cancerous tumor. He was able to have surgery to remove it — they got great margins — and we think the cancer is gone! He’s now up for adoption!

The money has also been helping a new rescue named Chance (second two photos) who came to us off the streets of Milwaukee with about 50% of his body badly burned. We had several vet visits and did lots of treatment with essential oils. He has grown more than half of his hair back and his other skin is soft and healthy! He’s not quite ready for adoption but will be soon! Meet both dogs: http://www.brewcitybullies.org/adoptables.php
