Baxter came to us as a senior cat. We received a message from a local vet that a family had brought him in to be euthanized, for no medical reason — they just didn’t want him any more. The vet guessed his age to be 12 or more but stated that he was a nice, friendly boy and seemed healthy. We took Baxter into our care last fall.

Shortly after coming into our care, Baxter had several teeth removed because his teeth were not cared for properly in his past. We had all the dental work done and after a few days, Baxter was back to his cheerful self — even wanting to eat crunchy food and treats, not the soft. He quickly became a volunteer favorite.

Baxter really enjoyed the treats the Petfinder Foundation sent to us in December. He would always come down from his shelf or bed as soon as you entered the room. He would gaze at you with his beautiful eyes as if asking, “Where are my treats?” Many times, I would give the room the treats and Bax would always get a few extra, just because. He could have eaten the whole container if we had let him — he just loved that crunch!

Sadly, Baxter passed on March 7th in his sleep. Baxter truly knew love in the short time he was with us, and with your treats, we got to spoil him even more. He truly loved your Friskies Party Mix Cat Treats!
