The grant money was applied to Stormy Rae, a senior terrier who was dumped at Carson Animal Shelter in Gardena, Calif. Stormy, aside from being fearful, had several mammary-gland tumors (third photo). She was visibly very neglected and left to die in an [open-admission] shelter. The money will be applied to her vetting. She had a very intense surgery and all of the tumors have been removed. The wonderful news was that the biopsies came back negative for cancer! Stormy Rae has healed and is now adopted into her forever home! 6Dogrees Rescue is an all-volunteer, foster-based rescue. Every dog we rescue is vetted and loved like he or she is our own before moving on to a forever home. Stormy Rae has a wonderful home and is a very happy girl.
