Hope (first photo) required surgery to remove her femur ball joint and re-position it in the hip socket. She was given a death sentence by one vet and when we took her to our vet, he said that if she had surgery, she would live a pain-free life once she was healed. The surgery with rehabilitation afterward was going to cost $2,200. We were able to raise the majority of funds through a GoFundMe campaign, but we still needed to cover the rehabilitation afterward. The Sponsor a Pet funds helped with this. Hope is now living happily with her forever family!
Heidi (second photo) was a very overweight German shepherd when she came to us. She had had a skin problem and was missing patches of fur. Through a special diet and a dedicated volunteer to walk her on a daily basis, she left our care a much happier and healthier girl.
