How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

Our shelter received a shipment of new Kong toys worth approximately $400.

As a receiving shelter for dogs, we focus on enrichment since we want a dog's stay to be as comfortable as possible. Our supply of Kongs had been very well used, and we were in the process of weeding many out due to wear and tear. This grant replenished our stock and -- thanks to your generosity -- twice-daily Kong enrichment sessions can go on without interruption! Thanks, Petfinder Foundation and Kong!

This is a gift that will give over and over again to hundreds of dogs! But an average of 30 dogs benefit twice a day.

Sweet 2-year-old Angie went home in late March 2018 after being in our program for six months. She had been waiting for the perfect family, and finally they arrived to take her home. The family had to be one that would understand and appreciate her lovely hound-voice, which she used constantly! Happily, they love her and her singing — and she loves the resident cat as well. Everything worked out just as it should! For Angie, daily enrichment was critical to keeping her happy and balanced during her stay with us. She looked forward with great anticipation to her two daily rounds of goody-filled Kongs!
