All Breed Rescue, VT: COVID-19 Operation Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
We used the $500 for vetting and preventatives for our dogs in the shelter.
Providing our dogs with critical vetting, vaccinations and preventatives is very important to keep them healthy to be able to be adopted.
How many pets did this grant help?
Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.
Bowser, a senior dog, came to us as a transfer from a shelter in Anderson, S.C., in 2019. His story of abuse and mistrust is not uncommon, but neither is his story of rescue and hope. He was adopted into a home, but returned because his owner was moving and could not take a dog with him. After he was returned, we were able to get Bowser into foster at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic closure of all non-essential businesses. Bowser has learned to live in a residential setting and is growing in his confidence and his trust of humans. He was adopted recently and is thriving in his new home.
