Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Bowser, a senior dog, came to us as a transfer from a shelter in Anderson, S.C., in 2019. His story of abuse and mistrust is not uncommon, but neither is his story of rescue and hope. He was adopted into a home, but returned because his owner was moving and could not take a dog with him. After he was returned, we were able to get Bowser into foster at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic closure of all non-essential businesses. Bowser has learned to live in a residential setting and is growing in his confidence and his trust of humans. He was adopted recently and is thriving in his new home.
