How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
This money was specifically used to have two dogs who are sisters receive their heartworm treatment. We rescued Betty and Lou from Georgia; both were heartworm-positive. They were in danger of euthanasia if we did not rescue them.
We would not have been able to rescue these two beautiful girls without your help.

Betty and Lou are amazing dogs whom we rescued from Georgia. They came to us with many health issues, but the one that was most costly was that they were both heartworm-positive. They are special girls who are affectionate and lots of fun. We have them in foster care, where they are working on their leash manners with a trainer twice per week.
