Peaceful Passings Senior Animal Rescue: Senior Pet Adoption Assistance Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The money was intended to be spent on promoting Monty, a min pin, who is on eye medications, medications for pancreatic enzymes, and insulin. The original thought was to offer an adopter the grant funding to support his medical care as a way to attract a potential adopter.

It supported Monty's medical care with medications that cost approximately $200 per month.

How many pets did this grant help?

One: Monty

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Monty is a very healthy dog who must be kept on his on-going medications in order to remain healthy. From his Petfinder profile: “Monty has a personality of his own. He is a loving dog who likes to play, but also has his rest times. He is full of energy. Monty is a special-needs dog: He is on a daily eye drops, is diabetic, and takes pancreatic enzymes. Yes, there is a cost associated with owning Monty, but what he gives back makes it all worth it. Through the generosity of the Petfinder Foundation, dollars have been donated towards Monty’s medications, which, for a limited time, will be provided by our rescue. This grant was given in hopes that a special-needs dog like Monty will have a better chance of finding his forever family, which he so deserves.” Meet him:
