The money was used to purchase a prescription diet (Hill's Science Diet c/d) for Tobias.

Tobias is a special-needs kitty who needs to be on prescription Hill's Science Diet c/d. This grant helped Middleburg Humane Foundation purchase the special diet and allowed us to use other funds to have regular U/A check ups.

Tobias entered the Middleburg Humane Foundation facility on Jan. 13, 2015, as a stray kitten with an eye infection, the absence of eyelids, and a distended abdomen. Despite his maladies, he had such an adorable personality. After getting him through several medical issues, we discovered he was a cryptorchid as well as having crystals in his urine. It was determined he would need to be on a special diet for life. Tobias spent his formative kitten months in our facility and was a trooper through it all. On June 1, 2016, he went home to his forever family, a family that has adopted several kitties from Middleburg Humane. Tobias is doing well and loving his new home!
