How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

Supplies for a dog, Jackson. We purchased an orthopedic dog bed, a lifetime supply of joint supplements and ear cleaner, an elevated feeder bowl and a harness. We were able to offer these items to his adopter to ensure that any barriers to his adoption were removed. He has since been adopted, and his new family really appreciated the supplies.

We are so happy that Jackson will always have supplies that will keep him happy and healthy, and he was able to find his forever home!

Jackson had been at the shelter for over a year. He had been through so much since his arrival after being abandoned in an apartment with no care. He had regular ear infections, eventually requiring surgery, and a high prey drive, which made finding the right adopters difficult. It was so hard watching him go through all of these things alone, but thanks to the generosity of the Petfinder Foundation, we knew that when the right family finally came around, Jackson would go home with everything he needed to live a long, happy, comfortable life. Jackson’s right people finally found their way here in the spring of 2019. They were so happy to receive such a great care package for Jackson, and have been back to let him visit with his staff friends. It is clear that Jackson loves his new mom and dad, and that they cherish him as well. Such a happy ending was made possible thanks to the Petfinder Foundation helping to remove the barriers to adopting a senior dog.
