Humane Society of the Black Hills: A Shot at Life Vaccination Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

HSBH has had a high inventory of cats and kittens this kitten season. The grant helped with the first round of shots, which helped our shelter keep the cost down on adoptions, allowing us to move more cats through the shelter to their Furever Homes

Hilton is my namernrnI arrived at the Humane Society of the Black Hills just in time, because within a couple of hours after arriving at HSBH I gave birth to four beautiful healthy white kittens. The Animal Control office at HSBH received a call from a traveler staying at a local motel in Rapid City who happened to look under the hood of his car only to find me trying to stay warm. rnAfter giving birth to my four kittens I was placed in foster care until my babies were old enough to be adopted. I must have made a good impression because my foster family adopted me. My kittens have also all have been adopted into Furever homes. rnrn
