This grant helped defray the cost of a CT scan for a rescue puppy named Sammy. Sammy was a precious male Maltipoo puppy about 4-5 months old. He was found abandoned and in critically poor health by a good citizen. They brought him to us for intake into our program. Sammy had a preliminary diagnosis of a congenital liver shunt. The scan greatly enhanced Sammy’s treatment, which was eventually successful. Sammy was recently adopted and is in a loving home.
