How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We were able to use the money to buy dog food. We normally get donations. However, due to the uncertainty of what was going on, people couldn't donate as they normally would and the grocery store that sometimes donates didn't have the ability to donate. We bought a pallet of dog food. This really helped us during an extremely stressful time. We felt we had a friendship with the Petfinder Foundation and people that cared about us. Your organization reached out when no one else would or could. We are honored to be the recipient of this donation. I cannot thank you enough. We were all worried about survival but you made sure we made it. We love you and thank you very very much!!!

Ferdinand came to us a while back, but he got an interested adopter during the pandemic. We were able to save the money by not buying food so we could spend money from his adoption fee to pay for his heartworm treatment. He was turned in by a good Samaritan after the owner moved and left him on the chain. He got his chance for a new home and we were thrilled. We had begun to think he was our sanctuary dog. He is now a wonderful fishing partner and family member in his new home. Thank you all and feel proud that you made a very big difference to us and to the animals in our care!
