Texas Round Up Animal Alliance: Bar Dog Operation Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

It helped us pay our vet bill down some so we didn't have as high a bill as we usually do. We appreciate this so much. We were able to save a few more dogs from being euthanized since our bill was lowered some.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

We were able to save two dogs from being euthanized at our local animal control. Once of the dogs has been adopted into a wonderful home and the other, Honey (first photo), is still looking for her forever home.

From Honey’s Petfinder profile: “Hiya, I’m Honey! I am just as sweet and loving as they come! I’m a very calm and well-mannered girl! I am kennel-trained and housebroken, and I get along great with other pups! I give the best kisses and snuggles! I am gentle and easygoing. Very mellow! I would make the purrfect family pup!

“Honey is around 8 months old and weighs about 30 lbs. She is microchipped, will be spayed, and is up-to-date on vaccines. She is currently on heartworm and flea preventative.”

You can meet Honey here.

Lily (second photo) has been adopted (third photo). From her Petfinder profile: “Hiya! I’m Lily! I’m just as beautiful as they come! Soft brown eyes, the perfect silver-tinted coat! My smile could change your whole day! I’m the bestest goofball! I have great energy and so much potential. I have had a rough time growing up and I’m still so young. I’m so ready to be given the chance to have a family of my own! I am good with other dogs! I am gonna be getting training! I could be the perfect adventure buddy!”
