Crossed Paws Animal Haven: All-Star Dog Rescue Celebration Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
Money received from the grant was primarily used to provide vet care for rescued animals including vet checks, rabies vaccinations, sterilization, and needed surgeries as determined by our veterinarian. Funds were also used to purchase food and supplies for our rescues who are being fostered.
With this grant, we were able to rescue animals who had been neglected by their owners and had serious medical issues. The grant has also allowed us to provide our rescues with a better-quality food to help their overall health.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.
We rescued Pearl, a female Shih Tzu, who was matted and had a milk-duct tumor that went unnoticed by her previous owner. Grant money was used to remove the mass and sterilize her, ensuring a better and healthier future! Once she recovered, she was placed up for adoption and a family with another Shih Tzu adopted her to become part of their family (second photo).
