How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

To purchase items specifically to improve our foster program. We purchased crates for our dog fosters, cat boxes for our kitty fosters and medication for our vet team that was specific for treating our foster population.

With the increase in interest for our foster program, we needed more tools to be able to have resources available for our foster parents. The ability to order medications for our vet team specifically for our fosters has made a big difference -- our budget for medications for our shelter population is not extensive, so this definitely helps us not have to dip into those funds.

The goal is to help at least 100 pets.

Because of the delays caused by COVID-19 in our County and with our County and shelter operations, we have not yet received the items that we ordered through this grant yet. We would love to be able to follow up with the positive results at a later date.
