Animal Shelter Volunteers of Texas: Purina and Amazon Treats for the Holidays Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
The dog and cat treats have been used for animals in foster care and given to adopters.
The treats allowed fosters and adopters to bond more quickly with the animals. The dogs and cats don't get treats in the shelter, so having some extra to give them when they go to a home is a great feeling for volunteers and adopters.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.
Minou was adopted by a man and his daughter. She bonded quickly with the family and has been re-named Snowy. She walked in the house, investigated it for about 30 minutes and then it was hers. The treats helped her to be more animated with the family and show her “best side” when being considered for adoption.
