R.E.A.S.O.N. Animal Rescue: A Shot at Life Vaccination Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

Vaccines for Cats and Dogs that we have rescued.

It has allowed us to continue our vaccination schedule while freeing up the cost we normally incur. This has allowed us to finance getting to more adoption events therefore adopting more pets out into homes.

How many pets did this grant help?

35 dogs and 25 cats

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Tyson is one pup that has benifited from these vaccines. When Tyson was found on the streets, he was less than 8 weeks old and at risk for Parvo virus that is very prevelant in our area. We were able to place Tyson on a schedule starting with the MLV Parvo vaccine and following through his complete DA2ppC vaccines. Tyson was neutered on 7/17/13 and will be going to his adoption event this Saturday to search for his Forever Family! We are relieved to know that he is fully protected with his vaccines received by this grant.

This grant was extremely beneficial when we rescued a female with 9 2-3 day old puppies. The timing was great to begin their inititial MLV Parvo Series.

The feline vacines have been the start of a new phase of our feral cat program allowing us to further protect the cats in our community
