North Richland Hills Animal Adoption & Rescue Center: A Shot at Life Vaccination Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The donated vaccines were used to vaccinate adoptable animals at intake.

We used the donated vaccines to vaccinate adoptable animal at intake. This is not something we were able to do previously due to budgetary constraints. We have recently increased our adoption fee to cover the cost of vaccinating at intake in hopes that this will help our kennels stay healthier through this summer and fall.

How many pets did this grant help?

11 cats and 52 dogs

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Gia was adopted to a college student that is able to provide her the time and attention that she needs. Gia was about 5 mth of age when she came to the adoption center and without the vaccination at intake, she would have been very susceptible to illness. Her new companion enjoys going on walks with Gia and they spend hours at home together in the evenings.
