Corridor Rescue, Inc.: Dogs Playing for Life Mentorship Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We had one staff member attend the 2021 Dogs Playing for Life Mentorship at Austin Pets Alive!

We have a brick-and-mortar rehab kennel where we have up to 22 dogs in our care. This grant allowed a staff member to attend the DPFL mentorship program and bring those playgroup skills back to teach to our other staff and to implement with our dogs.

How many pets did this grant help?

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

We have managed to get multiple dogs whom we were previously unsure of into playgroups with one or more dogs. This helps these dogs become more adoptable and healthier in our care. The person who attended the mentorship program is no longer employed with us, but they did share this knowledge openly with other staff.

Pets we managed to get into a playgroup with one or more dogs are:
Zeus (first photo); Knight (second photo, and with Zeus in the third photo); and Theo (fourth photo).

Meet Zeus here.
Meet Knight here.
Meet Theo here.
