City of Lytle Animal Care and Control: A Shot at Life Vaccination Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The vaccinations were used as first, second or third shots for dogs and puppies that came in and were under our care.

All medical care for the animals in our facility is from donated funds. Thanks to the generosity of the grant we were able to spend the money we would have used on vaccines on other medical care. To a small facility like ours this was a huge blessing.

How many pets did this grant help?

14 animals

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

As an animal control facility we are always aware of the threat of an outbreak of Parvo. An outbreak could devastate our small facility. I can’t provide one specific story because the gift of the vaccines helped so many more animals than the ones who received the vaccine. As each animal received the vaccine it protected all of our animals. It truly was a life saving gift. We are deeply grateful. Many animals got a better chance of adoption thanks to you.
