Wahl Oatmeal Shampoo Concentrate
Kim Acres benefited from a grooming grant from Wahl because our dogs get a bath and smell nice before going to an adoption event.
We currently have 145 dogs in our rescue and the grant helps all them get a bath, get clean and smell good too.
Spankie, a white Schnauzer mix, was a stray we saved off the side of a country road. He was matted, full of ticks and fleas and his skin was red and you could visibly tell that he was miserable. Our first step in saving him was to get him a much-needed grooming so the ticks, fleas and mats wouldn’t irritate his skin any more. Once shaved and de-flea- and -ticked, we were able to bathe Spankie in the oatmeal shampoo from Wahl, which acted as a soothing agent on his skin. After 24 hours he was soft, clean and smelled wonderful. This shampoo worked wonders for him, and a good meal did too. Although he will not be ready for adoption until after his neuter on Dec. 27, he is scheduled to go to his first adoption event at Petco on Jan. 5 and hopefully he will find his forever home.
