Boscoe had been in foster care for six years. The first couple of years, he had separation anxiety and fear of new people, not to mention the fact that, at his previous foster home, he went through the turmoil of a tornado. Once his “issues” were resolved, he became one big ole friendly lovebug. Boscoe weighed around 75 lbs. and is a golden retriever/shepherd mix. The woman who sponsored him had inquired several months earlier about training him as a service dog. She was looking for a younger dog, but she couldn’t get Boscoe out of her mind, so she did the next best thing and that was to sponsor him. During the month of April 2015, Boscoe finally got his forever home and is very content with his new family. I always told Boscoe I would be his forever mom and home if his forever family didn’t find him.
