Spay It Forward East TN: COVID-19 Operation Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

Our grant amount was for $250. We used it for food for a couple of special-needs fosters:

Primal cat food for Birdman $37
Farmina dog food for Gracie $69
Flea prevention $65
Medicated shampoo for a new intake $29

This grant helped to provide much-needed food for a couple of special-needs pets in our care. In addition to helping the animals here, it also helped keep 10 pets with their people by providing flea prevention. These animals would have been surrendered to us had we not had the resources to replenish our medications. It also provided the funds to purchase shampoo for a new intake who was suffering from severe skin issues.

How many pets did this grant help?

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Check out Birdman (first and second photos)! This little guy was found on the side of the road last year as a tiny neonate. He suffers from scoliosis and radial genesis. His front legs are deformed; however, he makes the best out of everything! He is truly an inspiration!

Gracie (third photo) is a young Malinois who was surrendered to us with stomach issues. Her food is very expensive. This grant helped keep her on it, and and now she’s getting adopted!
