How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We use the Kong toys for puppies to play with. Also, with every adoption, we give a care package, of which there is a Kong toy in every adoption bag.

Usually at Safe Haven Puppy Sanctuary, puppies come to us so young, or from not the best situations. The toys we give them are probably their first experience of having one. Kongs are toys that will stand up to the test of puppy teeth!

How many pets did this grant help?

We used five Kongs for the shelter and the other 15 went into care packages for newly adopted puppies going to their new homes.

Paco, a.k.a. Popcorn, has his favorite Kong toy that he played with at his foster home. Kong toys can stand up to puppy play. He also gets to take it to his new forever home. He’s been adopted!
