Funding from this grant was used to promote and encourage adoptions by providing approved adopters the opportunity to have adoption fees sponsored. Winners were selected at random by drawing a slip of paper from a fishbowl.

Four-year-old Prancer (first photo) was brought to WCAC after being found at a nearby construction site. Though friendly, she was extremely fearful and cautious of people, even hiding from a life-like baby doll presented to her during a behavior assessment.

With time and patience, Prancer formed a bond with her eventual adopter, who was one of the lucky winners of a sponsored adoption fee thanks to the support of this opportunity.
