How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We are using the Cat Castle cat carriers to send adopted cats to their new forever homes!

To purchase these carriers would have been a significant expense for our non-profit organization, so having a supply of free carriers that can also become play spaces for the cats in their new homes is truly a gift!

Ricky is a cat who was adopted and then returned to us. When he returned, he really struggled to get comfortable here again, so we put a Cat Castle in his kennel so he had a quiet place to hide. When he was adopted out again in March, we were able to convert his Castle into a carrier that his new adopter could then set up in the home to make Ricky feel comfortable. When we did our adoption follow-up call, we found out that Ricky loves his Castle and it is now his special place to relax in the home!
