On day in May, I received an urgent call from a contact of ours at a high kill shelter. She asked if we could take any dogs to save, and hopefully they could save more with the kennels they left empty. I looked over their urgent dogs and saw this cutest grin. He was a white dog they called “Sailor” and although we were pressed for space, I told her we would take him. When he arrived from the transport, he stole our hearts immediately. Although young, his thousand dollar smile stole our hearts and we named him “Magic Mike”. What a perfect dog we had saved, he was a little goofy, very friendly, great with kids, wonderful with other dogs and calm in any environment. After a month or so in our care, Magic Mike found his dream family and the new chapter in his life began <3
