Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue: COVID-19 Operation Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The support from the Petfinder Foundation was used for direct service activities for rescued pets, including medications, vaccinations, spay/neuter services, food, transportation, and veterinary care.

This grant helped support our 43% increase in intakes from March through July as our local shelters remained closed or decreased their intake numbers. Just from May through July, we accepted 283 rescues into our program.

How many pets did this grant help?

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

One of the animals we were able to rescue was Sassy, a white female cat who was severely injured with an ulcerated eye as well as multiple skin infections and sores throughout her little body. She was a neglected stray who, we believe, was attacked by another animal.

Once she recuperated from treatment, she was spayed and given the time for a full recovery in a loving foster home and has now been adopted into her forever home.
