Drummond, an adult dog, had been with us for a while, as adult dogs are harder to place in homes than puppies. Because of this grant, we were able to break down one barrier (money) between Drummond and his family and increase his chances of getting adopted. Not only was Drummond moved out quicker, but other dogs that were waiting to fill his spot on the adoption floor were moved up quicker, decreasing their total time in the shelter.
