Ten Lives Cat Rescue: COVID-19 Operation Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We were granted $250 from the COVID-19 Operation Grant. These funds were used to provide critical supplies (food and litter) for the cats in our foster program. Because of a generous discount from a retail partner, we were able to stretch these funds further and purchase 336 cans of wet food, 50 lbs. of dry food, and 1,102 lbs. of litter.

With a nearly 30% decrease in donations, these funds allowed us to continue to provide supplies to our foster families so that during these financially uncertain times they could continue to foster and save lives.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Nonny was just one of the 65 cats who were in our program during the month of May. Due to ongoing medical concerns, she spent 15 weeks in our foster program and was on a strict wet-food-only diet. The funds received from the COVID-19 Operation Grant allowed us to provide the food and litter her foster mom needed to continue to provide care during these challenging times. Nonny was adopted on June 23!
