Indiana County Humane Society: Orvis Dog Enrichment Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

These funds were used to spay and neuter shelter animals.

These funds helped the community by having the animals already spayed and neutered prior to adoption to help with the animal overpopulation. It also helps promote better health for the animals.
We are a small open admission shelter runs mostly on donations and grants. With the funds we received this has helped us greatly!!

How many pets did this grant help?

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Ozzie is a lab mix that was an owner surrender. He is older around 7yrs. He was passsed over by many potential adopters maybe because of his age or because he was black? We will never know. He even had a sponsor for his adoption fee!!

He was one of our longterm residents and was here several months and we had him neutered and then he finally found his Furever home!!!
