Humane Society of Lackawanna County: COVID-19 Operation Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
The money was used towards our general operating costs associated with caring for the animals at our shelter.
This grant helped by allowing us to purchase much-needed supplies such as food and litter for the animals.
How many pets did this grant help?
Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.
The money was used to help purchase much-needed supplies for the animals at the shelter, including litter for our cats and kittens. The grant helped nearly 200 animals, including Peach (first photo) and Cooper (second photo). We were able to provide them with the brand Yesterday’s News pellet litter, as this is best for kittens to use and can certainly become expensive with the amount of kittens we have already at the shelter and those that get brought in almost daily.
