All funds were used towards Milton’s vet bills.
Milton was found in Kentucky as a stray. He had been hit by a car, which broke his back leg. He was hospitalized from Dec. 6-8, 2022, and his leg was splinted.
When Milton came up on transport, we were instructed to get him checked again and re-splinted. However, he kicked off his splint.
I took him to MedVets365, where the veterinarian said that Milton’s leg was never going to heal on its own without surgery, and that it might even be too late to save his leg; amputation might be the solution.
We then went to Cheat Lake, where the vet who examined Milton confirmed what MedVets said about the leg.
Milton had surgery on Dec. 26 and they did an ex-fix where he wore external hardware for the next few weeks. He is now healed and in his forever home!
