Fishtails Animal Rescue: Emergency Medical Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The money received was used to pay the medical bills for rescue cat Ringo, as his surgery was done at a local emergency vet that provided the specialty care needed to save his leg. This surgery came at a larger cost than we'd anticipated when we saved him.

This grant was used to pay a portion of the bill for Ringo's leg surgery. This surgery saved his leg and gave him a better quality of life.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Ringo was time-stamped at the local animal shelter with injuries that were consistent with getting hit by a car. The shelter advocated on his behalf because of his sweet demeanor. Fishtails saved him and was able to have the needed surgery done to save his leg. He went into foster care and immediately won over his foster, who officially adopted him within a few weeks. He is living his best life with his adopter and tabby sister Ramona.
