Money was used to subsidize Jeannette's adoption fee, pay for a post-adoption veterinary appointment with the veterinarian of the adopter's choice and a take-home basket of senior-cat-friendly items, such as a bed, senior treats and food, etc.

Jeannette had been a resident of our shelter for almost 10 years — her entire life! We really wanted to get her adopted before her 10th birthday, so we applied for the Petfinder Foundation Senior Pet Adoption Grant for her a month before her birthday. This little extra incentive helped to get her adopted within one week of receiving the grant! Jeannette is now living the good life in a home of her very own for the first time. She is more than deserving and it may never have happened without the Petfinder Foundation’s lifesaving help!
