Last Chance Ranch: Sponsor a Pet Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The $45 donation was used towards getting one of our cats spayed and up-to-date on vaccines in order to get her ready for adoption!

It helped with the veterinary cost involved with getting one of our cats ready to go to her forever home.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

The sponsored pet was Taylor. From her Petfinder profile: “Taylor is a gorgeous domestic longhair who is 3 years young and came to us as a stray from a city shelter. She is outgoing, friendly, affectionate, and wondering where that perfect home is. She does have some slight special needs: While she tested negative for FeLV, she did test positive for FIV. FIV is an autoimmune disease, and she can live symptom-free for years. While it is possible to pass to other cats, many cat owners have FIV-positive cats living with their cats without any issue! It will not be passed unless they fight. However, she does do well with other cats, so this will most likely be a non-issue. She’s so friendly and outgoing, we are sure someone will want to snuggle up with her soon!” Meet her: www.petfinder.com/petdetail/38439884
