Cherished Cats Rescue Alliance: Cat Enrichment Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
The cat enrichment grant allowed us to improve the experience of cats who are sheltered in our "outpost" location. We added bird feeders outside the bay window, an easier-to-clean cat tree, a cat wheel, and cardboard scratchers.
Also, we were able to purchase two different varieties of track toys for foster cats to enjoy, as well as some miscellaneous toys. Finally, we replaced the cat exercise wheel in our cat cafe, The Scratching Post, and also replenished the rechargeable laser pointers there.
How many pets did this grant help?

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.
CJ and her kittens, Josh, Charlie, and Toby, were pulled from a hoarding situation when the kittens were only about 10 days old. Shortly thereafter, Donna joined them, after she and her littermates fell through a ceiling at a prison in the area (she was the only survivor).
They have all enjoyed their track tower toy very much, as well as the cardboard scratcher. They will be spayed and neutered shortly, and will hopefully enjoy the wonderful new wheel at The Scratching Post while waiting for their forever families to find them.
CJ and her kittens will be added to Petfinder after the kittens are spayed and neutered and they’re available for adoption.
