The Center for Animal Health & Welfare: Sponsor a Pet Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

To cover the cost of medications for both of the cats sponsored.

It helps for people to see that their donations help get animals adopted. Almost 90% of our operating budget is from donations and fundraisers, so we rely heavily on the public's help to achieve our mission of saving animals.

How many pets did this grant help?

Two cats

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Peanut Butter and Jelly, two young males cats, were surrendered by their owners. They were moving and did not want to take these cats with them. The cats were sick when they came to the shelter. After they recovered from their infection and were neutered, they were adopted together in May 2016 to a nice family. We were happy that they were able to go together, as often cats bond at a young age and keep each other company.
