We devote our adoption fees and donations to pay for medical care and food for dogs in our few foster homes. Every little bit helps, especially with an older pet who needs two different types of medication for eye and skin conditions.

The Sponsor a Pet donation of $45 came from a recurring supporter, and she usually follows a certain pet. I think she donated for Little Bit five years ago when he was adopted out before. He came back into our rescue when his owner developed dementia and was no longer able to care for him, and I think she recognized his name.

The donation was used to purchase medication for Little Bit’s dry-eye condition, which is required on a daily basis. Support for this ongoing cost was very appreciated while we look for a new home for Little Bit. Keeping fingers and paws crossed, Little Bit started a trial adoption period today!
