How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We had several bilateral TPLOs and dogs in recovery. These toys helped the months go by more easily by keeping them happy and stimulated.

We were able to give dogs in and out of recovery the joy of KONG toys. They were durable and still have not been destroyed. We have STRONG chewers who destroy nearly every toy, but the KONG toys are still intact.

Aurora had a lateral suture surgery (which failed); then she had to have a bilateral Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO). Her sisters Snow White and Belle also had bilateral TPLOs. Aurora has a family waiting for her to heal to adopt her and the other two girls are still looking for their forever families. Belle suffers from daily seizures, so these Kongs help her postictal (after her seizures).
