Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Athena joined HRAAD’s program in 2017 and was adopted and then returned three times due to her high energy level and excitability. After the third adoption failure Athena received advanced behavior training with Northwest Balance Dogs. Athena learned to control her high energy level and excitability with the use of an E-collar. Her new family was approved and her adoption fee was waived so that they could afford to purchase an E-collar and continue her training. Unfortunately Athena was returned after 45 days due to an unexpected change in the family’s domestic situation. https://www.petfinder.com/dog/athena-41544363/or/hood-river/hood-river-adopt-a-dog-or209/
