How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

Adoption fee at reduced price

Many folks have gone through difficult times with the virus going on. Many would be wonderful homes, but they have a fear of committing, feeling like they just cannot justify paying the fee involved. With the grant, we were able to offer a reduced fee for their new companion. Ten puppies and one kitten are now in loving homes.

Six pets came to us and were very sickly. We had to keep them longer than our normal time and were afraid people would fear adopting them. When it was time for their adoption, we did not charge a fee because at this time people were getting leery of justifying the money involved due to job security. (We did ask for small donation of $7.) We had five pups that were at our foster home for three months whom we were going to send on transport, but with the reduced fee we were able to get them homes also!
