Extended vet care
There was no way we could have afforded to take care of the ones we helped with them being in such dire need. We are a small organization and rely only on adoption fees and the few donations we get. The ones I listed in this grant report would not have made it if we had not received the grant …. so thank you from all of us!
A litter of puppies was found in the woods by a hiker. It looked like they had been there a while on their own; several were dead. They were just 5 weeks old. No mom in sight. When we got them, I was very worried about their survival. But with the money on hand, we were able to get them the vet care they needed! It took a couple of months to get them well; it was touch-and-go with most of them. All had a great outcome! The photos show them with their new families.
We also had a kitten brought to us with low hopes of surviving. The foster home she went to spent many days and many nights holding this sweet baby girl, mostly to keep her warm. Her journey was a very long one, but her outcome was also a happy one also. All are in happy loving homes.
