We received the P.L.A.Y. Pet Beds grant! We utilized the beds and toys for our pets in boarding as they recovered medically and also sent beds and toys with our foster families.
We were able to provide our pets with soft, comfortable bedding while they recover from medical procedures or are in foster homes or adoption events. Animal Aid of Tulsa had several new fosters start during the quarantine. It was nice to be able to set them up with comfortable dog beds and toys. This helps ease the transition for both the dogs and families.
One pet in particular who was helped by the beds is Cain (first and second photos). Mr. Cain was adopted, but returned after a few months. Sadly, he had to spend some time in boarding before a foster became available. The P.L.A.Y. Pet Beds and toys helped him feel more comfortable during his time in boarding. They also helped him adjust back into a home. He now shares his bed and toys with two foster sisters. He has not been adopted yet, but we and he are patiently waiting for his perfect owners to come along. You can meet Cain here.
