How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We received Purina Beggin' Strips Dog Treats. These treats were mainly used for training purposes (rewards for training) and overall treats for the senior dogs.

These treats were welcome, as they are smaller than the regular Beggin' Strips and much easier for the seniors to enjoy. As with any donation, we are greatly appreciative for help in what we do to save as many as we can.

One dog in particular, Plum, did not respond to treats at all. Everything was used: cheese, hot dogs, cat food, etc. — nothing! That was until we received the Beggin’ Strips. This dog absolutely would do anything for a treat. His training improved vastly, to the point where he was successfully adopted to a wonderful family. In his adoption packet we included his beloved Beggin’ Strips!
