PAWS, Inc. Humane Society of Noble County: A Shot at Life Vaccination Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We received vaccinations to use for the animals we have in foster care.

We were able to provide vaccinations to many of our animals in foster care that we probably would not have been able to vaccinate at this time due to very limited funds. We rely solely on donations from the community. We have only received one grant before in the past, which was from the Ohio Pet Fund. This is the only other grant we have ever received. It was so generous.

How many pets did this grant help?

Cats and dogs- the board member who has the final totals is on vacation, but we can get that total to you. We used all that we had.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

An assistant to one of the local vets actually went to each of the foster homes and administered the vaccines to our animals in foster care. A few of the animals we have in foster care have been there for quite a long time. We believe that since these animals received these vaccinations, they may be more likely to be adopted now. We usually have a pretty good turnover rate with our adoptions, but there are a few animals who have remained in our care for a while. These vaccinations may be the answer to our prayers to get these animals to their forever homes!
