The sponsorship money was from the dog's former owner and was used for her continued vetting, heartworm-prevention, food and other supplies while she was in our care awaiting adoption.

The funds were used to provide Quinn with ongoing care after she was returned by her owner to our rescue. From her Petfinder profile: “Quinn is about 2 1/2 years old. She was adopted from us as a puppy but returned recently as it just wasn’t working out with her family. Quinn is extremely smart, sweet, clever, and fun. But she is also very loyal and protective and a bit defensive when it comes to the people she considers hers. Her former family was expanding and they felt that Quinn just wouldn’t be able to handle the increased traffic in the home — unannounced visitors and activity that she just doesn’t handle well. Quinn does fine with other dogs — she went to doggy day care a lot and was a favorite of the staff — her favorite day was bubble day! Quinn is interested in cats but so far she has been okay with them in her foster home. She’s very focused on them, especially when she isn’t allowed near them. She is a squirrel-chaser and a bug-catcher, too! She loves her toys and her dog bed. Quinn is looking for a person or family that has a quiet home without many unexpected visitors. She is okay with kids but needs a home without kids because kids bring lots of visitors to the home and that’s just not something Quinn can handle. She’s fine meeting kids though. Quinn may always be the dog that you have to put in the other room or in her crate when the doorbell rings or visitors come to the house, so we are looking for an adopter that understands and accepts that. Quinn is extremely loyal and loving and is a wonderful companion. She gives great kisses and loves to snuggle!
